Career help. Direct answers please.?


I have a bsc electrical engineering, and will be getting an mba in a few months time.

I've spent a LONG time unemployed trying to get into the finance sector with a bsc.

Ideally, I'd like to get into investment banking or analysis.
Up till now, the only offer I've had is in stockbroking.

How should I go about this?
Should I expect better offers with an MBA, or is there something else I should start off as to end up in the fields I'm interested in?

Stockbroking could quite possible be a great start! Think about it this way, you will continue your ability to meet people and network plus the fact that anything is better than being unemployed for "LONG time," right? It is not a big deal if you start and soon discover that it isn't the position of your dreams. It is a good way to bring in some dough and still seek other opportunities.

Eventually, you would be able locate something in the field of analysis with an MBA. That is an excellent degree as far as the demand for people with those type of qualifications.

Additionally, you could also consider the option to begin in an entry-level position where you know that someone in the company may be older and closer to retirement and you are interested in their position.Once you have experience with the company and they resign you would immediately become a perfect candidate for the opening!

Government positions are also top paying with excellent benefits. Imagine your name above the title "Fiscal Budget Administrator" or " Chief of Finance." You could enlist in the army or apply with NASA or the
