Can anyone direct me to a mutual fund the only requires, a small investment [on none at all] each month 50 +?

maybe 50 or a 100 bucks,im 50 y/o and must get sum kind of game going, and yes as u predicted I have limited resorces

If I understand your question correctly, you want to be able to invest $50 a month in a mutual fund. If so I think you are in better luck than you thought. T Rowe Price, a fine mutual fund company, has a plan for people like yourself. It is called systematic purchase plan. The minimum just happens to be $50 a month. Here is a link to read about it and also the phone number to call.

Other mutual fund companies also have similar plans generally. So you can actually start out with only a $50 purchase to begin with and each month the mutual fund company will automatically pull another $50 from your bank account. Only I thing I have to caution you about. Don't let your bank account get overdrawn.

Now your only problem will be to decide which mutual fund that they offer to begin investing in. That is not an easy problem to solve because they offer a wide variety of mutual funds. Talk to the representative at T Rowe Price. The phone number is at that link. Also before you call them check out each of the funds that they offer to see what the performance has been in the past. That of course does not guarantee that you will achieve that performance in the future but that is all you have to base your decision on. That and the type of investments that the fund makes.

Here are a couple to be sure to investigate:

Global Stock Fund symbol PRGSX

Capital Appreciation Fund symbol PRWCX

But study them all. If you need any further assistance send me an email

OK - A couple of things the Initial Investment might be bigger than your monthly investment. There are many. Someone already gave you 1 good one.

Go to www.yahoo.com

Go to Finance

Under the investment tab go to Mutual Funds

Under tools go to fund screener

Under Purchasing and fees put in the Max amt of your initial investment.

Then click on the funds and

Go to profile and it will tell you the amounts to open and min you can put in any month.

COSTS COUNT pay attention to the fees each fund charges
Also if it is an IRA with regular withdrawals from your checking account some funds will charge less.

Good Luck Gerry.

There are many mutual funds that you don't need an initial deposit to open and can be added to automatically every month. The initial monthly deposit acts as the opening deposit. The minimum you can do monthly is $50. Please read my profile and send me an email I will recommend several to you.
