I want to know if we can file the proof of investments direct?

As a salaried employee there is a cut off date mentioned by my company to submit my proof of investments. If i am unable to make it is there anyway i can submit it direct? Where? when is the actual cut off date to submit proof of investments?

Dear Miss,
If you are not able to provide proof of investment in time then no problem. Company will calculate TDS without considering your investments . You can furnish the same investment proof directly to income tax department when you will file your return of income.This will help you for claiming refund of excesss tax paid by you through TDS .
So you can directly submitt your proof of investment to IT Department.
Last date for submitting the proof is 31st May of every year for previous year.
For ex. for previous year 2006-07 cut off date will be 31 may 2007 or date of filling of return of income for that period.
