How can you earn some money as a kid?

My nephew is trying to earn some money for a new iPod touch. I was wondering if you could give some examples of what he can do. A good article treating this subject would be greatly appreciated. 10x

Go so if the neighbors need their lawn mowed, or their car washed or their dogs walked. Something to that effect. I made tons of money as a kid doing odd jobs for the neighbors. SUCKERS!!!

I would have him do household chores and let him know how much you will pay him for doing a certain thing. Just tell your whole family that he is trying to earn money and if there is anything he can do for a little bit of cash tell them to let himknow.... I know he would greatly appreciate it!!

I don't know the skills or age of your newphew.

Maybe he'd like to walk dogs, feed animals while someone is away, or baby sit small (school-aged?) children (boys might be easier for a boy to manage). Is there anyone that a family member or family friend knows of that is looking for a young casual worker? When I was young my parents organised for me to help out with paperwork (alphabetical order, etc) at their workplace.

Also, maybe your nephew and his family could work out a plan...for every $20 he saves you (the family) could put in a set amount, to reward saving. If this is inconvenient, and you have good neighbours, maybe he could ask them if they had any jobs they'd like him to do for small amounts of money. Small amounts of money seem pointless at the time, but keep reminding him that they are helping towards the cause. Encouragement, acknowledgement and support always helps people feel they are getting somewhere.

Christmas is coming up....so maybe a small cash gift could be given.

2-save some poket money given by your parents. by not wasting in playing games in games hall or by running and going to the place and saving taxi(cab) money. and many more
i also would save money by walking and going.
this saves money and we become fit also.

3-ask people to give donation for tsunamis and take the money.
