How can i earn enough money to go to NY by next summmer?????

ok my school is going but my mom won' let me go with then i want to earn enough money to go to NY,NY for at least a week...myabe too....whats a good way to earn that much $$$$ i'm thirteen if that helps so i can't really get a job or would and i can't babysit if you have any questions you can email me through yahoo answers on my profile! plz plz help!!!!

ok i would be going with my mom to NY,NY not by myself bu i have to be able to earn the money for her to becasue were like broke so any suggestions....and i will on 14 in april, 14th of 2008!!!

You are wise to start squirreling your money back now.

You are going to have to make hard choices about how you spend the money your parents give you. That NY trip should be in the front of your mind when tempted to blow that money on something else.

Save your allowance, or at least a small portion of it.....Negotiate w/ your parents that you get so much $$ for A's & B's on your report card--to be used SPECIFICALLY for this trip....negotiate w/ your parents to get paid for doing thing like cleaning the HOUSE (not just your room)....Sit down with them, and plan this out. You might be amazed that they will work with you to help you grow up and reach your goal at the same time....

Unless you go with a school group, no hotel or similar place is going to rent to a minor. Hotel rates in NY are *expensive* - and so is the cost of food. You cannot live at Gray's Papaya, eating hotdogs, for a week or two.

I take school groups of about 100 to 150 kids every year to NYC, and have been doing this for years. This is NO PLACE for a kid alone. You have NO CLUE about how to take care of yourself. I should know - i have been teaching middle school since 1971.

Back to square one. Talk to Mom, earn the money. When you turn 14 (this year?) in many states you can get working papers that allow yo to have a part-time job. Of course, your MAIN job is to do well in school.

You sound determined - maybe even headstrong - and your Mom knows you better than we do. Perhaps you have given her REASONS to not let you go - or perhaps she is doing what a Mom is supposed to do - be concerned over your specific safety, and long-term growth and maturity. Cool off, and grow up a little.

here is what my little niece does -- every day she walks this route (about 2.5 miles and picks up all the recyclable bottles and cans -- she has her own savings account and is in great shape -- i call you her the little young bag lady.!!!
