Borrow twenty dollars and go into a two dollar shop and pick out some cute things that you could have possibly made. Some things in this shop are less than two dollars. Maybe fridge magnets made of nutshell or something. Get a basket at a charity shop, line it with a sheet of crisp colourful tissue paper. Dress in something nice, not pants or too casual, and not denim or t shirts. Go into an industrial estate, door to door, and sell this stuff. Men hate shopping in shops. Don't do a big spiel, act breezy as if you expect to sell out soon. Carry an empty basket in the other hand as if you have already sold the contents of that. If there is any reluctance to buy, just say OK, SEE YOU NEXT YEAR as if you are not desperate. They may call you back then and have a closer look at the stuff. When you get enough money, go and buy some more stuff. Nothing too heavy to lug around. Nothing bulky.

I knew a gal who went to the local lake, cut white lilies, put a rubber band around each set of six, and went around to the nearest houses and sold them for $6 a bunch. I bought two bunches at separate times. They were only minutes old and lasted a long time. Going door to door at houses is more dangerous that industrial estates, there are more dogs in houses. There are dogs in industrial estates too but they are less territorial, as customers are always coming and going. But if you look in the distance and see a dog eyeing you from a long away away and it is stock still with legs splayed rigid, don't go there.

Don't walk along the side of a car too close if it has its windows down in case there is a dog in there and it sticks its head out and bites you.
