How to earn money online, even it's in a small figure?

I'm a student studying in a Malaysian college. I'm searching for ways to earn some extra pocket-money through the internet and I've found a lot of websites requiring me to "invest" a little amount first before i can "gain" later, these make me feel insecure as I've heard of numerous scams on the internet. Would someone be kind enough to recommend me some safe, money-earning websites, which:

(i) doesn't require a large sum of pre-investment?
(ii) doesn't include surveys cause it's kinda time-consuming?
(iii) are not advertisement websites?

Or please advice me on what to do if there are no other option left.

Hi,i'm a university student in Singapore and I found two website that does actually pays. And they pay in US$. No investment needed. I done quite a few paid survey and seriously they are mostly if not all scams. For these two websites, you are paid by posting and replying to discussion. It's interesting and does not requires much effort. Sometime, i engage in intellectual banter in there too. Really suitable for students who spend alot of time online.

Let me explain how these two sites work:
Dorm Check pays you US$0.01 for every post or replies you posted and $0.012 if you post your discussion with pictures.

myLot earnings algorithm is discrete but it pays dependng on how many response you got from your discussion and also the quality of your post.
Overall i found that it is easier to earn at DormCheck than myLot. But you could try both.

Join google adsense its free. Its international. all you have to do is to create a good website and put up google adsense advertisement.
You will get paid if someone goes to your website and click on the advertisement. example a click you can earn abt 10 cents or maybe a dolla in USD. To get you earning google will send you through cheques or electronic transfer if you have credit card.
