I have share options maturing in September 07 to the value of approx 拢8k.? |
I am trying to find out if it would be better to place the money into my mortgage or keep the shares in the Royal Bank of Scotland. My mortgage is 拢16500 and the monthy payment is 拢309.44. The mortgage is fixed at 5.59% until May 07 at which point it will revert to the standard variable rate. I kind of feel it would be nice to clear the mortgage off early (as things stand I have another 5.5 years) and invest the monthly payments saved into an ISA, however it would take me several years to save up to 拢8K. Is there an easy way of working out which is the best option. Look forward to hearing from you. The track record for bank shares is very good. Tempting to sell, but you will be pleasantly suprised in Sept 07 |
