Walmart stock...Good or Bad? |
I may be getting a job at Walmart, and it's supposed to be easier to get their stock or something when you work for them (from what I hear, I'm not sure.) I've been looking into investing for some time, I'm just wondering if Walmart is stable, do they lose often, gain, or what? Good things are happening again at Wal-Mart the company, and if the CEO's (Scott) head rolls, good things should happen with Wal-Mart the stock. Wal-Mart is in the process of buying back approximately 7% of its stock, which in theory will make the stock worth 7% more. Of course its not always that simple but it will help. If you can buy the stock for a discount it would be a great deal. because you are an employee you have the option of buying it through their espp (employment purchase plan) meaning every paycheck you get money taken out (before taxes) and its set aside until once a quarter you can purchase it minus (on average) 15% of the closing price for that day. It does make a difference and wally world is ok but its retail and remember do not bet the farm on it (enron anyone) i do not like it's working capital position at all. it is negitive . i perfur it to be positive. this could mean trouble in the long run. |
