Investing Long Term ? No Load Mutuals Easiest ?

I will have about 50k and 3k a month to invest for next few years with my current job.
I basically just want to hand the money off to a fund manager and
not given any thought to it nor withdraw any of it for next 5-10 years.
What is simplest gameplan ?

3k a month to invest. You are doing quite well. Indeed your 1st answerer gave you a dandy answer. Asset Allocation is an excellent choice. Unfortunately, the fund companies like to make things difficult by providing different varieties of these animals.

Vanguard has about 6 funds that meet that designation but only one that carry that specific name. It is not exactly what I would really consider a true asset allocation fund. Too much equity not enough bonds. It did very poorly durning the last bear market. The Wellington Fund, which does not carry the name of asset allocation is much closer to what I would consider an asset allocation fund but is still not exactly one.

Here is a link to it.

To get close to truer asset allocation you are going to have to consider another Vanguard to allow a more broad allocation. That is the Vanguard Global Equity Fund in addition to Wellington fund because the Wellington Fund has very little foreign stock exposure. About 75% in Wellington and 25% in Global Equity would be in my opinion a good mix. If you are doing 3k a month make it 2k into Wellington and 1k into Global Equity.

It's the best way to go (no load mutual funds) with a good "asset allocation".

Read a couple of good books on Mutual Fund investing. You can start off with the "dummy series".

Don't take specific suggestions from others. They don't know you. You don't know their qualifications or motives.. Learn this stuff... it's not that hard.
