I know nothing at all about investing in stocks...? |
and want to know how to lucrativly invest my money. I don't understand Dow Jones average and so many other things about investing. Is there an easy way for me to learn how to invest? I've heard some good things about the "Investing for Dummies" and "Stock Investing for Dummies" books. A friend of mine who has become quite good in stocks started with these and still refers to them at times. Do some reading and studying before you put your first dollar in the market. Invest in mutual funds instead of straight stocks. It's easier and less risky. ditto. Go to the public library and look through financial magazines like Smart Money, etc. They publish lists of mutual funds and how they've been performing and their fees and whatnot. They sometimes make recommendations, for what it's worth. If you're starting from scratch, that's where I'd start. Be very careful with some of the answers you get here. You don't know the qualifications or intent of the people answering. |
