Balance sheet help, PLEEZE?


I have done my icome statement and statement of owner's equity but am struggling with the balance sheet. Am I putting these account s in the right place?
Cash~Asset
Temporary Investments~Not sure think this is a trick

Supplies~Asset
Note Receivables~Asset
Equipment~Asset
Accumulated amorization, Equipment~not sure at all

Land~Asset
Franchise~Asset
Accounts Payable~Liability
Interest Payable~Liability
Unearned Professional fees~Asset
Long-term note payable~Liability

Coming from a degreed accountant I have to say that you seem to have everything correct. The Accumulated Amortization on Equipment seems like you mean Depreciation in which case it is a negative asset, reducing the value of the equipment. One thing I used to do in college was pull up an annual report from a large public company, which are available online, and look at their balance sheets to use as a guide. Sometimes it helped.
