To get the net cash from investment?

where do you look at: the: assets, liability, or equity column?

unfortunately, everyone else here is wrong. To find the Net Cash from Investment activities we look at the Long-term or (Fixed) Assets on the Balance sheet.

You look at specifically what happened to the firm's Building and Equipment (Capital Assets) and if they go UP in value on the Balance Sheet, then Cash from Investment goes DOWN and vice-versa.

hope that helps.

Your question isn't very clear, but as I understand it, you are looking at a ledger and want to know the net cash proceeds from a transaction. Since cash is an asset, you would look in the assets.

For example, if the company owned a vehicle with a loan on it, the vehicle would be listed as an asset, the loan as a liability. If the vehicle was sold (presumably for more than the loan), the vehicle asset would be removed, the liability would be removed, and the net proceeds would be entered under cash.

Thisn is not the same as profit or loss, which is dependent on the basis of the asswet, not the proceeds.

Hope this helps.

Net cash would be the equity column. The term net means after expenses or liabilities.
