Investment in property? |
Hi, i would be grateful for some advice. I have some money sitting in the bank and am really tempted to invest in property rather than watch me fritter it away to nothing. What concerns me is the inflated market prices and the obvious worry that i'll buy something to let then end up with a load of negative equity (which i suppose is what the gamble is all about). I was considering off plan investements where the deposit is lower and obviously the purchase price is a lot lower than the going market rates for nearby properties. Any ideas....better to hold out for the big crash or buy buy buy as the prices are still rising?? Any advice would be welcome. Have you thought about investing your money in property abroad? Obvisouly there are some advantages and some disadvantages. I think the housing market in the UK isn't going to continue to rise like it has done in the past few years, so if you are looking for large returns, abroad may be a better option? Plus you get a free holiday home ;) The market is overrated right now. Wait for the bubble to burst and invest in a high yield savings a/c which will give give you a 5% plus yield until then. good idea Wait until prices are lower and rent the property out for income. |
