Career move? |
ok, it is basically lateral move, but i am senior cost accountant working for large corp. now i might have opportunity as senior acocuntant in last private equity firm(real estate). it is new field to me, but seems like exciting also maybe more potentail for me later.. do you think working in private equity investment firm will lead me more opportunities It sounds like you are ready for a change. This could be a good way to use your current skills and develop some new ones, so I'd say go for it! well, all business have opportunities but depending on how they are structured and if you are at the top when you get there I would doubt it... but if you like the rewards and the challenges then go for it... Real estate is in a slump right now, but when things are good, real estate is very lucrative. You seem to have a decent position now, but if its going to mean being happier with your work, then its always well worth the shift. Just do plenty of research in the new firm and check out their track record. Good luck! As long as you are an accountant....it's not a career move at all...but i was an Auditor and i thought about being a recruitment consultant,or bussiness development consultant, which is toooo far of my career !!! |
