Question for those with experience in investment banking.? |
Hi, I am a junior right now in college and I am looking at both trading and investment banking internships. I want to know from those with experience the pros and cons of both positions. Which one would help me more in getting better, more lucrative jobs in the future (hedge funds, private equity, etc.)? Which one of the two generally pays more? Overall, which out of the two do you recommend that someone in my position should go for if I have both as choices? These are pretty broad questions. The best answer would depend on the individual, especially considering there are different paths to follow within those fields. Also, you need to pay attention to industry trends. Many companies in investment banking, asset management, etc., are increasingly offshoring their operations to China and India. Not to say that there won't be opportunities in the future but jobs within the financial service industry are changing some. |
