Can I carry forward losses made in equity investmenst beyond 1 year? |
I made about INR 4000 loss in my equity investments in FY 2006-07. Can I offste this loss against gains in equity investmenst this year. For how many years am I allowed to carry forward this loss. Also, in which part of ITR-2 do I provide these details, and how. You can set off this loss, only against Short Term Capital Gains of this year, provided it is not a long term capital loss. |
