I am currently in a Fidelity Fib Freedom 20/20 fund. Any suggestions for a company with a similar type of fund |
I think these are refered to as "Lifecycle" or "Target Maturtiy" Fund. I want to invest in my 403b7 without having to watch it closely. I was also wondering if I should consider going with an annuity instead of one of these funds. Your fund is fine if you " don't want to get involved"... if you want to get just a teensy aggressive, pick a fund that is ten years beyond your retirement date. Either way, you've got professionals looking after your funds...nice to know. Are there Life-cycle Funds that are better than Fib Freedom 20/20? I am a 41 year old teacher retiring at 60. Report It Also, many of my co-teachers are investing through annuities vs. these funds. What are the pro's and con's? thanks Report It FFFDX invests in more volatile stocks of the S&P 500. Slightly more risk than an S&P 500 index fund with slightly more return. Over time, the investment will gradually shift to the less aggressive stocks and then begin adding bonds. This is a fund that, if you plan to retire in 2020, you should not have to watch at all . . . buy and forget . . . by design the fund is appropriate for a 52 year-old. |
