Which Fund with Fidelity?

401K.... company is matching 50% of the first 6% deposited. Plan to be stay at home mom by this time next year. At that time will rollover to Roth IRA already have. Will elect the full 6% to go into 401K. Which Fidelity funds should I choose?

assuming you are under 40, go with something like the Contra Fund - all equity...by the way, you might want to check the vesting schedule of your 401k because odds are that the company match won't be yours for a number of years so when you quit next year you will have to leave it behind.

Contra fund or Magellan

It is worth it because you can just do a rollover next year when the time comes.

As far as which fund. You're still very young and have a long time horizon so you definitely want some growth. I like the Fidelity Fifty. It's performed well for my clients and it's a large cap fund so it's not overly volatile.

I agree that the Contra might also be a good fit. The Magellan has definitely seen better days, plus it's closed to new investors.

Additionally, you don't need all your money in one fund. You could go into a few funds for further diversification.
