Do you think the mutual fund Fidelity Balanced will bounce back from the current slump? |
In 2002, Fidelity Balance didn't take the major hit like most other mutual funds in the same grouping. However Fidelity Balanced is underperforming as compared to others in the group in general and within Fidelity especially. Underperformance is the price you pay for caution...not a bad thing, but you can't have it both ways. If you want the nice gains you have to risk a little....but risk isn't always that big scary monster... you just have to learn to live with it. If you want to get into FGBLX..you may see some improvement...and " global" investing really isn't that " risky" anymore...the most successful companies in the U.S. are the ones that are doing a good portion of their business overseas...why shouldn't you? |
