What are the benefits of Foreign investment in the US? Benefit? Uh, the foreign company makes money off of US labour. THen the company can take profits out of US and take it back to their homeland. I think you'll aggree if your American you should want an American company to own the assets. An American company is more likely to use some of the profits in other ways in the US... Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) is when US companies get money from foreign sources. This is generally good for businesses because it adds to the potential funds they can raise. Domestic sources of investment are limited; foreign sources can make more capital available for expansion, new products etc.. Transparency, numbers have to be standardization, easy to understand.
