What is Forex Trading? And how would one do this?

I have about 10,000 dollars to invest. Is this enough?

After having 10 years or more of trading using "technical Analysis" and have a very strong "money management" system for losses, you may want to consider FX trading.

If you insist on getting into it sooner.... take at least a year to read 5 - 10 books on the subject including the psychology of trading (which makes up 80% of your success). As you may know, experianced investors fail at Forex trading at a rate higher than 96%.

Be careful. Learn & be disaplined.

Forex trading is very risky.

I dont know your age, but if you want to keep your $10,000, I suggest considering a different investment vehicle.

Why don't you look long-term with ETF's or a DRIP Plan.

10K is enough. FX trading is trading currency pairs. You basically are long one currency and short the other one. For example, if you think that the Yen is going up and the dollar is falling you would buy a yen/dollar trade or call. You can buy and sell options on them.

FX is pretty volatile, so it's not really investing, more alongst the lines of speculating. If you want to speculate, options on commodities might be better play on 10K.

10,000 is more than enough to get started with your Forex trading. I took a course called Forex Power Strategy Course last year. I started out with only 1000.00 because that's all I wanted to risk until I knew what I was doing. My balance has grown by 7400.00 in the last 2 1/2 months. I don't trade a lot, because I don't have a lot of time to spend on it. But I have learned when the reports come out that you need to judge the market. I had the same problem as you have.
