In forex, what does Convergence mean?

When all indicators or at least those you are watching meets together. I think it works also on if not especially when 3 moving averages of different time frame meets each other. The significant being "Wait for an impending move" when the moving averages opens up.

Convergence/Divergence is a concept in technical analysis that can be applied to stock, futures, forex trading. Not just restricted to forex.

Usually traders will look at the price chart together with technical oscillators like RSI, MACD.

Price rising, but the oscillator reading falling, i.e. they diverge, is a signal of losing upside momentum.

Price falling, but oscialltor reading rising, i.e. they converge, is a signal of losing downside momentum.

These are reliable leading indications of trend change (from up trend to sideway, up trend to down trend, down trend to sideway, down trend to up trend.
