I want to expand my property management co., but how? |
I own a couple small apartment buildings (2 and 3 flats in Chicago), and I want to expand to own and manage multi-unit buildings, but how? I know obviously I have to aquire them, but where do I get funding? First I would concentrate on building your company, as Property Management, do some research on older, smaller companies and inquire around on any of them for sale. Once you have built your inventory for Management, then possibly some of the owners would want to sell via owner finance, otherwise I would check into funding for Investment Property thru a local lender, sometimes you can get some breaks if you assure the lender you would accept Housing. Many mortgage brokers do commercial too. You can try Lending Tree they do some investment properties. They are a broker too. You could try your local RE Investor Club. Ours in PA is called ACRE. They will have a list of private lenders but you will get hit with more fees. |
