Money-Management Software?

I have used Quicken in the past to track my spending but I feel as though it is too robust for just simple tracking of funds. I do like the way you can analyze your spending by category and make graphs, but I was wondering if there were any other applications that are designed to manage cash accounts/spending.

Amazing how I forgot Excel. I use it for damn near everything else. Let's see if that is the best option.

I use excel. I put a column for date, name of item bought, amount spent and what type of transaction it was. For instance if it was a bill like rent, or electric i put "living expense" If it was food, i put food. If it was an item i didnt really need to buy, like lottery tickets or a video game i put doodads. At the bottom of the spreadsheet, i put my take home income earned that month (or expected income) and then excel automatically subtracts the amount of the items bought from the income and it shows me what i have left over. I've been doing this for about 5 months and i notice every month i seem to have more money left over now at the end of the month.

i just asked an accountant the other day that i know, they said quicken is junk, quickbooks, it what she uses for her clients and loves it....

www.morningstar.com will show you fees for every mutual fund. They all differ depending on the type of fund. They are between .5% to 4%
