What are some good fund raising events, or strategies? Large or small scale, corporate donations and/or private

I work for a non profit agency that runs school and day habilitation program(s) for physically and mentally challenged people of all ages, and all abilities. We are currently running a capital campaign to raise money for a new facility that would include a preschool, a school age program, a greenhouse/work grogram, 2 adult day habilitation programs, community integration programs, Case Management Services, Physical therapy, Occupational therapy, and Speech therapy, in home programs like Developmental therapy and individualized programming, and more. We intend on trying to make this a state of the art facility that is fully handicap accessible to all people, including a playground with accessible slides, monkey bars, etc. We need to raise at least another 2 million. Thanks for your suggestions.

Please keep in mind we don't have a lot of money work with when organizing these events.

I once did a sponsor for children in need and raised 拢786. what i did was organize a leaf collection {it was leading up to autumn} we collected the leaves in a local park and arranged for S I T A to recycle them for compost they were also one of the sponsors and because of environment issues it made much higher profile which worked in my favor. i also did a raffle MacDonald's were very good as were boots, Tesco and the banks the children used sponsor forms, i also contacted BBC radio papers etc the bigger the better. could the children do a play or how about a sponsored egg roll, a painting competition the possibilities are endless i did find the children were worth their weight in gold..i wish you every success with your project please let me know what you decide on and how you get on.what about mentioning it to Blue Peter when you are closer to finalizing a date.

Have as many people as you know go to:

Supply-n-Learn.com

They can each purchase a Summer Bridge Workbook and $2 of each book sold can go to you. (Make sure they specify where the $2 goes to)

What about setting up a walk-a-thon, rock-a-thon, or wheel-a-thon. Get local sponsors like the banks, restaurants, and local radio stations. You could even talk to the local rehab departments, equipment companies, home health care agencies, etc. We are always interested in helping like causes!
