How can I invest in a Hedge Fund? |
I want to invest in a Hedge fund called Appaloosa Management run by David Tepper. I wnat to know what steps to take to invest in his fund. I dont want to know what is required. Any brokerage firm that deals with hedge funds can offer this. Typically, these would be your heavy hitters such as Merrill Lynch or Goldman Sachs. As Rob D said above, you need to be an acreditted investor to get to hedge funds. Go to Chatham, New Jersey and ask anyone for David Tepper. I believe the new rules for hedge fund investors will require that they have $2.5 million in liquid net worth, which excludes any equity tied up in their home. I don't think that has taken effect yet, however. |
