Is it possible fo me to become a Fund Manager? |
I am absorbed into stock market lately. I am so intriqued bwith how to make money in the stock market. I spent lots of time listening and reading and learning by myself on trading stocks. This starts with my loss of investment that has not yet back. I have no diploma background in finance, but I do have experience managing my own money, and because of learning here and there, I have some understanding on accounting and finance. Do you think I can become a Fund Manager? Is there certification to take? Should I talk with a fund manager? I do not know what else to do except learning it on myself now? What areas are you interested in? If you want to manage mutual funds, all that is required is to be registered with a firm - and take the appropriate examinations - Whether a firm will hire you or not, I don't know. I actually am working on a series 6 and 63 - Passed the 63 - next week for the 6 - Hope I pass - Good luck!!!! For a company? Absolutely not. You have a long road to go...perhaps if you get a degree in Finance...and work hard you can do it ..or be a crazy entertainer ..investment savant like Jim Cramer, someone will ask you to be a fund manager. |
