Gold, is it still a good investment?

With the price of gold already this high, is it still a good investment? Will the price decline or keep increasing? I'm thinking of investing a little on gold

Yes, so far the gold price will go up again. You don't buy the real gold and store it at home. Buy e gold and gold from bank which only give you a certificate.

i think so

It is a good investment, forever and always.
We're on the gold standard in this country, and that (along with death and taxes) will never change. Not in our lifetimes, anyway.

Personally, at this precise moment, I believe that it will go down before it goes up again, a correction if you will. I don't believe that this is the highest that gold will go though.

The dollar is losing its value, which means that gold will go up in value because demand for it will increase and demand for dollars relative to the value of the gold will decrease.

And to one of the other posters, no, the US is no longer on the gold standard, we went off the Gold Standard in 1933, following Britain who went off of it in 1931.

In all honesty, if you're going to invest in gold, wait for a correction and then invest, or better yet, invest in silver which has both intrinsic value and is also used in many industrial applications.

That being said, always be careful getting your investment advice from random people on the internet. In the end the only person that has to answer for your money is you.

If i were in your position, I'd wait for prices to pullback before going long on gold. The reason for this is that after a run up on prices, there will always be profit taking. I'd look at the charts and look for a good support and see if that holds. If the support level holds, then i'd wait for price to start moving up again--then i'd open a long position.

If that support level does not hold, then the market is telling you not to invest in gold at this time and wait for the bulls to pile in again.

Always listen to what the market is telling you.

you bet ye it is.
