Hedge Fund Operators ?

We hear so much negative about hedge fund operators and little about the Robin Hood Foundation which consists of the same people. Can anyone tell me if they think the charity is a way to mask the negatives of hedge funds or if these funds are a benefit to America and it's investors.

You are right we hear a lot of the negatives and not many of the upsides. Hedge funds do benefit America and local economies of NYC, Greenwich, Boston, and Chicago. On a broader scale hedge funds are great for America because of the competitive capital advantage. Some of the best performing funds are ran out of NY and London and while other centers of the world for a place on the hedge fund map these two locations dominate, brining intellectual capital and real capital into American hedge fund businesses.

Many hedge fund managers are known for their outsized pay checks, donations and spending. All of which helps the economy as well.
