Does anyone know of a daycare program funded by the government? |
I am a single mother, and needs to work, with not much family to help me. I need to put my child in daycare. Does anyone know of a program paid for by the government for single or low income mothers? Some daycare offer subsidized openings and some can provide some form of financial aid (either from the state or federal government). You could check out http://www.daycarebear.com to find one that does or one that meets your financial needs. If a day care was getting paid no matter what, do you think you would get any quality care for your child? yes, there is. for older kids, the head start program is an option. some headstarts start at age 3. there are other program run by local non-profit groups sponsored by federal grants. You need to go to your state welfare or child service agency. don't look at it as welfare, look at it as assistance that is going to get you ahead. |
