Are people taxed on their social security disability funds?

In other words, must one declare social security disability a earned income? Aren't you already taxed on that?

Not enough information. If SSDI is all the income you and your spouse have, then no. If you or you spouse have significant other income ($15K or so) then some may be taxable.

You can read all about taxes and Social Security here: http://ssa-custhelp.ssa.gov/cgi-bin/ssa....

No it's not taxed. I receive Disability and mine is not taxed, there may be others with differant situtations, the laws are differant in so many ways, but I don't complain, it could be worse.

No, If you have SSDI then your earn income is limited so No.

You are not taxed on your disability benefits (SSDI or SSI). If you are collecting both retirement benefits from Social Security at the same time the regular retirement benefits are subject to tax but your income level would likely be such that no tax would be assessed.
