I am applying for state funded health insurance in AZ, and I have a question...? |
The program in AZ is called ACCCHS, but I imagine they have similar programs for low income people in other states. My question is, do I need to claim student loans awarded at the beginning of the semester as a source of income? I've applied a few times and gotten rejected soley because of these. They do not take into account that this goes directly to pay for my educational expenses. I only work 2 days a week at very minimum pay but I keep getting rejected because my income is too high. Any thoughts or help would be appreciated. The application does ask the applicant to list any money received from educational grants or scholorships, so I'm guessing that they are counted towards any income allowances. The reason being is that the grants and scholorships do not HAVE to be applied towards school expenses, but can be used virtually for any expenses you have. |
