How much should I expect on tax return?

I am married filing joint. Annual income for me is around $15,500 before taxes. Wife is about $3000 before taxes. Around $12,000 in itemized things e.g. Interest on mortagage/ property taxes, charitable funds.

If I itemize instead of standard deductions how much should I expect back in returns or which whould bring me most return back?

You can put your check stub information on
http://www.hrblock.com/taxes/tax_calcula...

Without itemizing (and no kids), you would have owed $100 in tax before taking withholding into account.

With itemizing, you would owe $0.

If you have any dependents, there's no reason to itemize.

If you itemize, you should get all of your withholding back and you may qualify for EIC.

If you don't itemize and don't qualify for EIC, then your tax liability should be about $100.
