1099R tax question? |
hello - my wife and i both received 1099Rs for funds that we rolled from 401Ks to IRAs this last year and I am wondering if we have to include them on our state return or just the Federal. The E-File method I am using doesn't allow me to put $0.00 in the income amount on our state return even though that is what the instruction say on the back of the 1099 - any advice? It all depends upon the state as different states have different rules - since your software wont allow a zero try -1 - Some softwares will convert that negative one into a zero. If that doesnt work just skip it - or go to a professional to have them do the return for you. |
