When USA TODAY paper reports NCAA coaches get $2 million...?

...(A) does that $2 million figure come from his employment with the college/university as a "teacher's contract" and earn credit toward a STATE-PAID EDUCATION PENSION based on the full $2 million?

--or--

(B) is a coach hired on a teaching contract for typical teacher's salary [of under $45000] and is the balance of the $2 million income coming from independent athletic associations and independent booster groups not tied to the Education Pension account?

Basically, if anyone knows how to contact USA, give them the question...How much do taxpayers really kick in on the university's salary for a coach? Do we as taxpayers, fund the coach's teacher's salary of around $ 45,000 or the $2 million? How much is calculated for earnings toward the STATE-provided Educational Pension? The information should be public record since they are public employees.

The report states that the coach gets the 2 million from the school as base pay. The other bonuses, booster club additions, sponsors, commercials etc are not listed in the salary.
The article states that the base pay is what is used for their state funded retirement.
