Withhold tax exemptions from oil companies ?

Everyone knows the big oil companies make multiple billions in net profit. Ads for Hillary say her plan is to withhold tax exemptions from oil companies, and somehow use that net gain in corp income tax to fund research in alternative enery.

This sounds great, and I'm niether a Hillary fan or hater, but what's the catch ? This sounds too good to be true - there must be a catch, or else it seems to me someone would've done this a long time ago.

If she is the first to come up with this idea, and it's as simple as it sounds, she has my vote, but this just seems too good to be true.

Getting specific..........WHAT tax exemptions do oil companies receive that other businesses (movie studios, auto makers, Boeing, etc.) do not receive? If none, why single them out? Because they are an easy target? I an not really sure to what the intentionally vague Sen. Clinton is referring. Anyone?
