Can anyone tell me how housing for low income work?

I've been living with my parents with the government housing funds for about 4-5 years now... I have very little knownledge about that housing funds. here's what i know :
*if i go to school full time i can stay in the house
*i can't work full time... and if i do part time jobs, i have to make copies of my checks to send them every 6months. The more i work the more they reduce the funds.
*i think every 6 months they come to check my house to see if the alarm, gas, water works and if the house is clean...

Well i hope you know what im talking about... Anyway, i stopped going to school and worked full time and my parents told me that the funds got reduced alot because i go to works. What i want to know is what happened if move out of the house and go rent out a room for myself, will the funds go back up for them? right we live in a 3 rooms 2 bathrooms house with 6 members in the family. Can anyone either link the the website that have information about this or tell me about it? Thx

fyi - my dad and i do work, just my mom stay home to take care for 3 younger dependence children. If you come from other country, imagine if you would start making living out with nothing?

Gawd, I can't believe you are asking for help $crewing your fellow citizens.

Your parents should be working, not mooching off the rest of us.

The amount of money your parents get is contingent upon how much the entire household (all money earners) makes. If you work and add to the total income the less your parents get. If you decide to continue to work and move out, your family doesn't have to count your income anymore and they can receive more money from the government. But if you decide to stay and work and not report your income (fraud), the government can halt all payments and sue you for more.

The idea behind public assistance for lower income families is that you stay in school to be able to get a better job than your parents and be able to make enough money to not need public assistance in the future. So, stay put and go back to school!
