How much taxes do I pay living in Long Island, NY if my gross income is $150,000?

My property tax is $900. per month. I pay NY income tax. I pay sales tax, I pay permits for home alarm, all kinds of taxs and fees on my phone bill. I even pay a state police sircharge on my car insurance. I would second guess I pay 80% of what I make in taxes icluding social security + social security that my employer pays on my behalf. Besides paying 80% what percent is robed from me by unethical school boards, wastings on duplicity of layers of goverment, thrown out on illegal aliens, welfare cheats yet alone citzens that intentionally cheat on their taxes. I say push all layers of goverment to be funded on sales tax only, any monies collected for fees, fines, permints etc must be returned to the citzens, that way we will all know which goverment bureacrocy is burding us.

Quit your whining. Move to Canada. No, never mind that move to Cuba, I like Canada and wouldn't want to do that to them.

If you make that much you really, really need to travel to Mexico or South America somewhere.

You quickly realize that having a corrupt and greedy government and being overtaxed, has a different meaning there.

Actually, just talk to people who have lived outside the US and you'll hear many stories about how much we receive in return for our taxes.

Also, consider moving away from a place that is so expensive.

narrow minds are led around like dogs on a leash. fleeing a home town doesn't make it better. Educating people on how goverment waste should scare all of us. Having big brother think for us is not freedom. I thiought we live in a democracy, evidently we don't Report It
