If you have no income do you have to file a tax return? |
My grandparent live in NJ. They are retired seniors with absolutely no income, meaning no federal money or retirement fund. Do they have to file a federal income tax return? no you don't need to file a tax return if no income was earned in 2006. If they truly have no income, then no, they don't need to file a return. no dont know. Absolutely NOT! You are not required to file a return if you have no taxable income. They are safe! :) No. They can file Form 1040EZ-T to capture the phone tax rebate if they wish, however. No, you have to earn at least $3000 a year, per person, in order to file (that's what my tax preparer told me once). No they don't have to but if they have a telephone they should file to get some money back because of a one time telephone tax credit they are giving out. You can check here: http://www.irs.gov/individuals/article/0... Well, if they have no income at all, they wouldn't have any taxes takin out of them, correct? NO No they don't have to file if they don't have any income. And if they had social security, but nothing or only a few thousand in addition, then they wouldn't have to file then either. don't cost nothin to file -- cover your butt ! |
