Best income funds or income sources?

Not enough income to support my life style.

I have to agree with others who answered this question. Cut your expenses if you don't have enough money. Spend what you have wisely.
Still if you have savings and want to generate a strong income stream I recommend closed end funds which pay a monthly dividend. I would do a lot of homework before investing in these funds. I would not put all of my eggs in any one or two funds.

Electric Utilities used to be the "widows and orphans" current income source. They deregulation and scandals reduced their dividend yields. Then REITS took over but now their prices has risen so much the yields are low. Now preferred stock funds seems to have taken the job over. I like the ones from Nuveen but there are many providers.

With all due respect, you may need to check your life syle. If you decrease spending, your income will automatically increase. Thant will give you more money to invest. The more you invest; them more you will earn in interest and dividends. If you do this for a number of years, you will be able to afford your life style.
