1.Casey invests $17000 in two funds that pay 11% and 13% simple interest, respectively. If she recieves $2080 in yearly interest, how much is invested in each fund? x + y = 17,000 Casey invested $6,500 at 11% and $10,500 at 13% giving her $715 plus $1365 for a total of $2080 interest for the year. |
