I have about 20k i want 2 invest...? |
i was thinkin mabey a mutual fund, they seem 2 have competetive interest earnings....anyone recommend one?? if not a mutual fund, then what? im not sure what to invest in when it comes to stocks bonds mutual funds ect., and i sure dont like rrsp But what is a given is realestate you need somewhere to live why not put a down payment on a fixer upper and fix it up re sell it. Or take a chance and open your own bussiness, or become a silent partner in someone elses bussiness. I would go the ETF route. The expense ratio's are much less and the performance is on par with traditional mutual funds. You are also not hit with the annual capital gain problem. However, the drawback is that you invest them like an equity and there is a trading fee. If you wish to use it toward retirement, then look into a ROTH. You don't pay taxes on it when you use it after retiring. IRAs will protect your gains from taxes until you decide to pull your money out. The annual contributions do have a limit on them. I would suggest you to invest in shares as a long term investment. Check the website http://money-review-site.com/shares.html to learn more on shares and stock trading and how to select the best stocks. The Vice Fund is pretty good. |
