Is it better to invest with Vanguard or American Funds?

Is it better to invest with Vanguard or American Funds?

All companies offer good services but there are differences that matter to different people according to their needs. To me Vanguard is hard to beat for cost, products available, product research and customer service.

both are solid funds; but I think Vanguard is no load. I've got American Balanced as a "safe" fund for my kids college.

I have American funds and I find that they are solid performers.

Hi,

You can visit http://stocksguide.checkouttoday.info for some useful tips and info related to your query. Good luck!

Vanguard. They're no load. American has a load.

Hello,

Both Vanguard and the American Funds are highly regarded organizations. I prefer the Vanguard funds because their funds are no load. Loads funds are primarily geared towards people that need the help of a financial advisor. With load funds, you pay a sales charge either up front, upon the sale of shares or on a level basis. Load funds also typically have fairly high expenses due to their 12b-1 fees, which can be as high as 1%. The American Funds are an exception to the high fees for load funds, especially their A shares. No-Load funds can also have 12b-1 fees but not in excess of 0.25% of assets per year.

Vanguard is an excellent mutual fund company for a variety of ressons including their low fees, solid performance and high quality investment management teams. Vanguard provides very good information about it funds and portfolio managers on its website

I hope this helps.

depends on the fund/etf CWGFX is a no load from American and its been a winner for me for years. VEU is an excellent ETF global play from Vanguard who is noted for low expenses on their ETF's.

if you know what you are doing and can pick the funds that you want to invest in, go with vanguard

if you think you need help and someone to advise you go and see a broker that likes american funds. all brokers like american funds because they are so good. they will help you figure out what to do. the fee that you will pay the broker is very small and is well worth your money if you don't know what you are doing. both american funds and vanguard are great places to invest
