any indian MF investment - follow the following guideline:
If teh scheme has more than 50% invested in equity -- gains tax free for > 1yr, dividend tax free always ( if not doing dividend stripping -- selling within 3 months of buying).
For schemes with < 50% equity, index the cost on FY basis and give taxes @20% or flat 10% without indexation on profits. Dividend as above
