I want to take advantage of the weakening dollar, How can I invest in the euro?

With the DOW riding so high, I think the market is due for a correction, so I pulled my mutual fund. I only have 8K to invest and only want to hold the Euros for about 6 months. With the increasing American debt, this seems like a safe investment. thoughts?

I wouldn't try to time the market. You should have a properly allocated portfolio and rebalance when you think there will be a correction.

But if you are going to do what you want to do. I think the best way for you to do it, will be using this ETF (FXE). It's an ETF that tracks the Euro.

Good Luck!

Talk to CMC markets. They can let you hold a position on the Euro vs USD for that time at reasonable rates.

Otherwise simply open a Euro account at your bank, do a currecy transfer and sit it out. This isn't terribly smart as you'll end up paying quite a large spread to convert out to Euros and then back agin so you have to expect it to move by more than 5% before you start to profit.

Open a brokerage account at Zecco and buy the ETF (Exchange Traded Fund) FXE (NYSE)

Dollar Plunge Causes International Shopping Frenzy

Canadians, Asians, Europeans, and people from the Middle East are flocking to the United States to take advantage of favorable current exchange rates between their currencies and the American dollar, which is trading at its lowest rate since 1995.

The Euro, the Yen, the Pound Sterling are all showing dramatic advances over the U.S. dollar, some averaging in excess of 35%.

In this type of environment it is only natural that people and Companies are taking advantage of the situation by making major investments in the United States, and that foreigners are in a shopping frenzy to buy American goods.

An Israeli company recently purchased the Plaza Hotel in New York City and is turning it into Condos. Major Middle Eastern countries are gobbling up prime real estate at an unbelievable rate, and foreign investors have increased their investments in the U.S. Stock markets because in terms of their currencies, purchases of U.S. securities look like a relatively cheap bet.

New York City is inundated with Europeans and other foreigners looking for shopping bargains. They can buy quality retail goods much cheaper than in their own countries because the U.S. dollar is so cheap in terms of their exchange rates. An average hotel in New York City is now leasing for $800 a day, and there are few to be had.

All of this provides a wonderful platform for a shopping mall operation that has been smart enough to go International. With more than 1100 stores, it is in the process of converting its Website to a customer friendly multi lingual format and inviting people internationally to own their own shopping malls at no cost. So far people from more than 95 nations have joined.

Now Americans can take advantage of this trend towards globalization by facilitating a Buy America policy to take advantage of the decline in the value of the dollar. That鈥檚 why many people are flocking to New York to go shopping.

Why not give those people who are not able for one reason or another to shop in the United States, or don鈥檛 want to pay $800 for a hotel room, the opportunity to take advantage of great currency related bargains and make money at the same time. Why not invite them to have their own no cost shopping mall, which they can enjoy from the comfort of their own homes, by inviting them to join My Power Mall.

To find out how to take personal advantage of this globalization trend, and beat the shopping frenzy, my business partner Chris Jones, and I, Arthur Levine, invite you to check out

You should look into the FOREX market. Its the largest financial market. Its how banks make trillions of dollars each year. Its how Bank of America made most of their profits last year. It is now available to the public and I know of a program where people made 220% return on their money last year. If you could keep that up you would be a millionaire in no time. The way you can make so much is that your leveraged 400:1. Every dollar you invest is like 400 dollars because you have a broker. Dont settle for what everyone else settles for. Mutual funds will only give you 15% a year. Thats nothing. Check out the video below. If you like it try the demo try it out for 2 weeks using fake money and then you will see how much money you will make following this strategy. The video and site is kind of cheesy but the product is like no other.
