How can a Powershares Fund investor be sure he is invested?

Powershares are the best performing mutual funds in the USA. How can an nvestor be sure that his investment is actually invested in the underlying stocks ?

On some level I think you have to trust the company. And there are plenty of investors who practice arbitrage, trading on any differences in NAV and market price, so that if they didn't invest in the named stocks, everybody would know immediately.

Mutual Fund or ETF companies are Powershares are heavily regulated by the SEC, so I don't think you have to worry. Especially with a big well-established company like Powershares.
