Im invested in an ETF fund. If one of the stocks in my fund splits, how does it affect my ETF? if all other changes are ignored, then the split of a stock will have ZERO affect on the value or the number of shares you own in the ETF. A simple example, if it is a 2 for 1 split, then the number of shares of the company will double and (theoretically) the price will at the same time go to exactly one half of the pre-split price. I answered the wrong question. >< |
