Is Vanguard REIT Index fund good to buy in current market condition?

Since the real estate prices are dropping, I am wondering if it would be a good idea to purchase this fund. I saw thier past results and they are really amazing even in the current situation. I have already invested in other vanguard funds and have money left for 1 more fund.
Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

Residential real estate prices are dropping but you theVanguard reit is made up of commercial real estate portfolios and lots of other stuff.

Don't get caught up too much in what housing and real estate are doing in general becasue it will differ greatly from how the vanguard reit performs.

Your best bet would be to study the REITS that make up the index and do some research on each of the components. If at that point you are confident in the REITS that make up the index, then by all means go ahead and jump in and buy the ETF.

Just don't get tricked into thinking that the ETF is going to move in tandem with what you see the residential housing market doing. Two quite different things.

Yes any investment in property is good at any time, but best when prices stop falling.

The point is that with mass immigration into all the developed countries, property prices have only one way to go.
