Is this a right time to invest in Mutual Funds? |
Is this a right time to invest in Mutual Funds? Anytime is a good time to invest in mutual funds, if you take the SIP route.A SIP allos you to benefit from Rupee cost averaging, which means you buy more units when the markets are down & similarly you buy less units when the markets are over-heated. Absolutely. If you look at investing as a long term commitment then now is always a better time then later. Anything's a gamble but with my experiences with mutual funds it's just like real estate in the long run it will go up , how much is the question? Historically the worst month (when stocks are at their lowest) is October, which means you want to buy then. January is historically the best month (when they are at their highest), which means you don't want to buy then. Yes. It's never the right time to invest! - Just start with a little amount and invest constant a little amount over a long period. That's the best and safest way to invest. For investing in mutual funds, there is no right time period. Any period is always good provided, you know, 1) how long you are going to stay invested, 2) you know how much volatility you can tolerate and 3) you have chosen the right product. |
